Douglas loves everybody with equal fervour and when taken for a walk he wants to attach himself to anybody he meets and walk with them. He also loves all other dogs. bur his favourite game is chasing a ball on the beach. He loves the beach and enjoys lying down in the waves, even on a cold day. Douglas is obsessed with running off with any article of clothing he can grab with his mouth, socks are his favourite.
